Review by alex lynch

Xerography is a highly experimental album by Norwegian musician and composer Lasse Marhaug. The album is a collection of nine tracks that explore the sonic possibilities of electronic music and noise. Marhaug's approach to music-making is highly unconventional, and Xerography is no exception.

The album begins with "Xerox," a track that sets the tone for the rest of the album. It is a cacophony of sound, with layers of noise and distortion that are both disorienting and mesmerizing. The second track, "Print," is more subdued, with a repeating electronic melody that gradually builds in intensity.

Throughout the album, Marhaug experiments with different sounds and textures, creating a sonic landscape that is both unpredictable and captivating. "Photocopy" is a standout track, with its distorted vocals and glitchy beats. "Scanner" is another highlight, with its pulsating rhythms and eerie atmosphere.

Xerography is not an album for everyone. It is challenging and confrontational, and it requires a certain level of openness and willingness to explore unconventional sounds. However, for those who are willing to take the plunge, Xerography is a rewarding and fascinating listening experience.
